Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani Peruvian Muay thai fighter, mixed martial artist and currently competes within the UFC flyweight division. She is also the older sister of an earlier UFC Flyweight champion as well as co- UFC athlete Valentina. Antonina Shevchenko was the first to start fighting sports by becoming an Muay Thai boxer. Antonina Shevchenko broke her professional MMA record in 2002 at the KFK Cup in Kyrgystan in a fight with Anara Bayanova. She took the win via second-round TKO and won her next two fights at WXF: X-Impact World Championships 2003. She compiled the record of 3-1. Shevchenko was absent from MMA to concentrate on kickboxing. She returned to the ring with Anissa Haddaoui at Phoenix FC 3 in 2017. Shevchenko beat Anissa by unanimous decision before she fought Valerie Domergue in Phoenix FC 4. She resigned from the organization and started Dana White's Contender Series 2018. Shevchenko was matched against Jaimelene Nievera in Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11, Antonina TKO'd Nievera with her superior striking abilities at the end of the fight with knees placed on her body. Antonina was offered the UFC invitation following her win. Antonina took part in her UFC debut at the TUF Heavy Hhitters Finale, with Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi in a unanimous decision. She then lost her subsequent fight due to the split decision. Antonina was able to bounce back from the loss, and defeated Lucie Pudilova in the UFC on ESPN Covington vs. Lawler via second-round rear-naked choke and won the prize of the night for the bout. Shevchenko lost to Katlyn as well as Andrea Lee in three of her subsequent fights. She defeated Ariane Lipski, but beat Ariane. Antonina has been defeated recently by Casey O'Neill via TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos -Walker.
